Altered Label

I've had this Stampin' Up! bag since before Christmas & as soon as I saw the label on it I wanted to alter it but have only just got around to it!! I've left the label as it is on this side but have decorated the other side.
Stampin' Up! even colour coordinate their accessories so the Lucky Limeade cardstock matched the bag perfectly.
I will really miss these Everyday Enchantment Designer Papers when sale-a-bration end on 31st March but I'm putting in an order at the weekend and anticipate earning a few packs to keep me going!

The 'S' is my initial but could also be 'S' for Stampin' Up! lol!

Sprinkled Expressions

I'll admit that the Sprinkled Expressions was the last of the free Sale-a-bration sets I was drawn to but when I saw these cards on Pinterest I just had to have a go.

I spent Sunday afternoon making up cards for my workshop on Saturday 24th & once I'd made one I couldn't stop!

These were so quick & easy & I love the monocrome Stampin' Up! makes it so easy.

Stampin' Up Fiskars Paper Trimmer

I wonder how many Stampin' Up! customers & Demonstrators are like me & never read the small print??!

I bought my Fiskars Paper Trimmer from Stampin' Up quite a few months ago & probably like many people who have bought this products ripped it out of the packaging & got to work with it.

I love my trimmer but have always struggled to swap the cutting or scoring blades & at class all of my ladies have commented on how difficult it is to swap them. I even managed to cut both my index fingers swapping the cutting blade at one class which was very embarrassing.

Not any more!!

Today I got another Fiskars Trimmer & when throwing away the packaging I noticed this instruction on the back.

The groove on my trimmer is at the top of the rail at the same end as the Fiskars Logo.

You push the blade or scorer to that end & as it reaches the groove you push down with your thumb & pull up with your index finger & viola!!
Now I might be telling you something you already know here but I'm hoping that the light bulb will come on for some of you the same way it has for me this morning!!

Next scrapbook class

I've had a couple of days without blogging as I had classes on Friday night & Saturday afternoon & was busy preparing for them.

My next scrapbook class is on Wednesday 14th March & these are the layouts we'll be using.

I've had these pictures of my youngest daughter for about 6 years & never got around to doing anything with them but they are perfect for a double page scrapbook layout.

They say every picture tells a story & I think it's obvious from these how much she enjoyed her Tumbletots sessions.

These medallions are very effective & really easy to make.
The Circle Circus stamp set is perfect too.
The bottom of the banner is made using the Large Heart punch. I found this on pinterest a very clever technique by Annika Flebbe.
The Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies are perfect for scrapbooking.

If you would like more details about my scrapbooking club or card making classes please contact me.

Elementary Elegance

I had a workshop last Friday with a group of ladies that I craft with every Friday. I decided to use the sale-a-bration Elementary Elegance stamp set.
This is a lovely stamp set & even better that it co ordinates with the Curly Label Punch.
Teamed up with the Blossom Party Die this was a quick & easy card.

As you can see from these photos we have a lovely big room to craft in & a table that all crafters dream of!

Can you believe this lovely lady is 90 years old! She really enjoys cardmaking and has only started in the last couple of month. Just goes to show that you are never too old to start a new hobby.

Less Is More Week 56 - Don't Scrap It

The challenge at Less Is More this week is to use some of those scrap we crafters hoard.

Now I was spoilt for choice for which one of my piles of scraps to use!! I am guilty of have quite a few areas of my craft room that I have piled bits & pieces that I'll definately use again'!! & there they remain untouched for months on end.

I had a workshop on Friday & had been making some samples for it last week & found myself will quite a few of the punch shapes from the Curly Label punch.

I thought these might make some little pinwheels & even though they are slightly rectangular they still folded into these little cuties.
Even though, because of the size, they were a little bit fiddly they look so cute I'm definitely going to make a few more.

Less Is More Take 2!

Thought I'd have another go at this weeks Less Is More Challenge Punches or Die Cuts.

As I said before, Stampin' Up! have so many punches & dies that you could probably enter this challenge every day for a couple of months & still not exhaust the supply.
I'm guilty of totally neglecting this Daisy Die & I think this is only the second time I've used it (shame!!)

You can never have too many cupcakes!!

Don't you just love the new Create a Cupcake stamp set & punch in the Spring Mini Catalogue? It's one of those sets I know I'll use over & over again.

Stampin' Up! The Next Generation

Please leave a comment for Ciara.

My 12 year old has been bitten by the scrapbooking bug! She's spent the week sorting out photos & has already started on her second page.
As you can see from the picture I haven't let her loose on my Stampin' Up! Designer Papers but I have given my girls all the papers I won't use now I'm a demonstrator & it included this lovely bright piece of DP & cardstock.
She's stamped the bunting using the various Stampin' Up! colours & the Pennant Parade stamp set. She's also used the new Cupcake stamp set & matching punch.
She's also used the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Dies for the number 1. She's an expert on the Bigshot.
I think she's done a fantastic job & know she would love to hear your comments.

P.S Please ignore the lovely wall in the background of the photo!! we were in the middle of decorating lol!!
