Loving the Hardwood

There are lots of new products in the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue & I must admit that two of the products used on this card were not on the first order I put in.

The more I've see the Hardwood stamp used, the more I wanted it & finally gave in last week. I'd also delayed ordering the Perfect Pennants stamp set but the sentiments in the set are lovely so I ordered that as well!

The lovely twine & cork flowers are from the Sweet Sorbet pack which is available FREE during sale-a-bration when you spend £45.

Thanks for looking.

Jems Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

I can't believe it's nearly a year since I last blogged! Where has the time gone? I haven't been idle though, I've regularly updated my Facebook page & that is where I post details of my forthcoming classes. So if you would like to follow me on Facebook please click on the link on my sidebar.

Anyway . . . . . . . . . . on to today's Jems Blog Hop.

Only a couple more days until Sale-A-Bration 2014 gets underway closely followed by the launch of the Spring/Summer Catalogue. Believe me when I say you will not be disappointed by either!! The freebies in this years Sale-A-Bration are the best ever. So much to choose from & all FREE with a spend of £45.

You should have arrived at my blog from the lovely Allie Jolliffes' Blog so should be half way through our blog hop. If you have found your way straight here & would like to start at the beginning of the blog then hop straight to Karyns' Blog

I love it when stamp sets have a matching punch so I was so excited to see the Banner Blast stamp set & the matching Banner Punch. You would get both of these items free if you spent £90.

The stamp set has 10 stamps altogether, 7 banner stamps & 3 little accent stamps one of which, the star, you can see on this card.

It's one of my closest friends 50th birthday today & she's asked for cash from all her friends so she can buy something special. She told me she has a gold box to keep all her money in so I thought I'd go with the gold theme for her gift. I was just going to put the cash inside her card but when trawling through Pinterest I came across a fab money wallet using the banner blast set & vellum. I've unashamedly cased it as I loved everything about it.

I thought it was a great idea to use the Washi tape to seal the sides of the vellum! Have you noticed the new 'gold' Washi tape, that's available in the new Spring/Summer Catalogue along with the set that the longer banner comes from, Language Of Love & the little gold sequins on the gift bag. We were lucky to be given all three of these products for free at Convention.
The simple money wallet pulls out of the vellum envelope & the money sits inside this.

I then decorated a little gift bag to match.

I hope you like what I've done with the Banner Blast set & punch. I was really pleased with how these turned out & I know my friend will like them as she loved shiny/blingy things!

Right, now it's on to Angies' Blog for the next part of our hop. Enjoy!

Sharon xx

Valentine Class - Part 3

The third project was my personal favourite, this cute little treat box. It is made by cutting down the die cut from the Petal Cone Die. It's a nice size & holds quite a few little heart shaped chocolates.

I love the die cut hearts that come on a sheet in the More Amore Designer papers & you get 2 sheets of them!

Here are all three projects together.

Lets Go To The Hop (Oh Baby)!!

The Jems are having a Blog Hop to celebrate the launch of the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue & we'd love you to come & join us!!

If you've hopped to me from Kylie's blog then you're heading in the right direction
If you've joined the hop at my page then you've missed loads of loveliness! so if you'd like to start at the beginning click on the lovely cupcake picture above & it will take you to Debbi's blog or if you want to start here & just do a full circle then that's fine too. However you'd like to hop we're just glad you're here!!

I had a real dilemma choosing something from the new Spring/Summer catalogue as there are so many amazing new products but in the end I went for the gorgeous new Framelits Dress Up. You get the dressmakers dummy (think that's what it's called?!) die & two dresses.

I've used the More Amore papers which were a real hit with my class ladies yesterday, they are gorgeous & I can certainly see myself having several packs before this catalogue finishes.

I've also used my favourite embellishment from this new catalogue which is the Flower Trim & I've gently inked the edges with some Rose Red ink.

The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen set & the little hearts are from the new Hearts A Flutter set.

Well thanks for dropping by, I'll wave you on your way & send you to Angies' Blog where I know she'll have something delightful waiting for you.

Just in case any of the links are broken here is a list of the full blog hop

Love & Sympathy

I had a request for a sympathy card & turned to the Love & Sympathy set from Stampin' Up!

I've used my Stampin' Write markers to colour the flower & stem & then stamped three times each time the image gets lighter.

The background is the very versatile First Edition Specialty Designer Papers & I've done lots of inking around the paper & Top Note die with my sponge dauber & Soft Suede ink.

Less Is More - Sketch

It's been ages since I took part in the challenge at Less Is More but as it was such a lovely simple sketch it got my mojo going!
(after posting this I've 're- read this week's rules & think I've gone over the 1/3 limit!!)

Here is a sneak peek at something that is coming in the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue & I just love it!!

The papers are Sycamore Street, the sentiment is from Bloomin' Marvelous and the ribbon is from the Sycamore Street Ribbons & Buttons pack which are all FREE during sale-a-bration if you spend £45. The little safety pin is from the Trinkets set which is in the main catalogue.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Patterned Occasions

I'll admit that when I first saw the sale-a-bration stamp sets that this wasn't one of my favourites but after seeing lots of inspiration on Pinterest I couldn't wait for it to arrive.

The idea for the linked elephants came from a card on Pinterest & I've added the rest of the card.

I split the sentiments from the images on this stamp set so it will be very versatile.

The papers are the gorgeous Sycamore Street which are also FREE during sale-a-bration.I love the colours.

I've made a batch of these as thank yous for this months orders & it was very therapeutic cutting out the little elephants.
