My most popular card brought up to date

When I started blogging again a couple of months ago I noticed that I was receiving a lot of visits to one particular card. This was a card I'd done for a challenge back in February 2011 and had since had nearly 4,000 views.

The original card, which you can see here, is very CAS (Clean & Simple) but had been pinned by someone on Pinterest and then pinned & pinned again until it had had over 7,000 repins!

I couldn't quite believe it but it just goes to show you don't have to have an all singing all dancing card to make it a little Super Star!

I decided it was about time I brought the card into 2016 and give it a make-over with the new 2016 - 2018 In Colors and also show how the new colors work with some of the existing colours. Here I've used the new Colors Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach and introduced them to Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder and Rich Razzleberry. Don't you think they all get along very well?

The stem has been made using another new In Color Emerald Envy which I think could become my favourite green!

I hope you like this revamped card & thankyou for popping along to my blog today. Happy Crafting.

Celebrate With A Wink Of Stella

Here is a card made at one of my classes a couple of months ago and I forgot the share it with you.

I found this card on Pinterest and loved it so much I didn't change anything about it. The inspiration came from a member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Team, I love checking out their blogs & blog hops as there is always so much inspiration & creative ideas.

The wooden 'Celebrate' embellishment has been coloured using the Wink of Stella Gold brush which gives a gorgeous effect & really makes it stand out from the card.

I'm so glad these cute little bow paperclips have been carried over to the new catalogue along with the balloon stamp set & punch.

If you would like to purchase any of the products shown please click on the link in the right had sidebar to my online store.

Thankyou for popping by today and Happy Crafting!

Botanicals Decorative Gatefold

Here is the last of the projects from my Botanicals Class a very pretty gatefold card.

I've used the long leaf die to create this effect on the front of the card.

And a flowers to finish off. I've used the hostess stamp set Happy Birthday Everyone again. Can you tell I'm going to miss this set.

Botanicals Pop-Up Card

The next card I'd like to share with you from my Botanicals Class is this clever pop-up card.

This is a very easy card to make but very effective & folds flat so it fits in a standard C6 envelope.

I've also made this card using the Balloon Punch as the focal decoration & I'll share that another day.

You can see better from this picture that the card folds out into a square& the decorative panel stands away from the body of the card.

Finished off with a Botanicals flower & leaves.

Thanks for popping by today & Happy Crafting.

Botanical Handbag

Hello there! Did you enjoy the Jems Blog Hop on Saturday? Lots of fab inspiration using products that are retiring from the current catalogues. If you missed it you can start here and enjoy!

Today I'm sharing a fab project designed by my fellow Jem Amanda Bates. You can see Amanda's version of this bag here & she's also been kind enough to share the instructions. She's also made it into a little Mini Book which would be gorgeous for photos on a special birthday. You can see the Mini Book here.

I've used the Botanicals Designer Series Paper for mine which I absolutely love!

The sentiment is from the retiring hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone which I've had lots of use from as I love the large 'Happy Birthday' greeting.

Finished off with a couple of flowers die cut using the Botanical Framelits. I loved making this bag and so did the ladies that came to my Botanicals Product Class. It really is simple to make but I think you'll agree far more special that a card.

Thanks for dropping by today and Happy Crafting!.

Jems Retired Products Blog Hop

Welcome to our Jems Blog Hop. Glad you could join us in our showcase of our favourite retiring products.

I love this time in the Stampin' Up! calendar. Old products are retiring & we'll soon have brand new 'toys' to play with! There are always a few sets that I'm sad to see go but I'm so excited at the new products that will be available for you to order from 1st June 2016.

One of the sets I'm sorry to see go is the Feel Goods set. So many lovely sentiments and I've used them time & time again. I'll probably hold on to this set for a while though and it's still available to order in Wood Mount and it's reduced to £19.55 . . . . . . bargain!

I've used this set so many times for making frames for friends.

For this one I've teamed it up with retired products and also products that are carrying over to the new catalogue.

Sadly the Deco Labels Dies are retiring but there are so many fab products coming to replace them.

My daughter starts her GCSE's next week so I've made this card with her in mind.

I've also used the retired Everyday Chic Washi Tape which is still available while stocks last.

The sentiment has been embossed using Versamark & Silver Embossing Powder.

For my second card I've used the retired Hexagon Punch which unfortunately has sold out. Hope you managed to get yours!

This card is fab for using up scraps of Designer Series Paper and I've used the papers from the Cherry On Top stack. I've also used the Deco Labels Collection Dies which are retiring but are still in stock.

Well I hope you've enjoyed my offering for the Blog Hop. If you would like to purchase any of the products I've used please click on the link to my online store in my sidebar.

Next on the list is the very talented Sarah-Jane. Please click on the Next Button below to take you to her blog.

Thanks for visiting today and Happy Crafting.

Rose Garden Watercolour

Here is the second card from my Rose Wonder Class. The larger of the rose dies is stunning used on its own on a card but I've taken it a step further & created an embellishment that's more like a chip board thickness. I've done this by die cutting four of the large roses using thick Whisper White Cardstock (140490) & stuck them together using the Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309) which is ideal for this project.

I've then used an Aqua Painter (103954) to paint over the top of the rose in Rose Red (126954), Old Olive (126953) & Tempting Turquoise (126952) ink pads using the lid as a palette to pick up the ink.

This set of dies is really versatile & could be used for many many cards . . . birthday, sympathy, wedding, anniversary, get well . . . . the list is endless.

If you would like to order any of the items I've used please click on the link to my online store in the sidebar.

Thankyou for visiting my blog today & happy crafting!

Rose Garden Die - Stained Glass Effect

Absolutely love this Stained Glass Effect & the Rose Garden die is ideal for this technique. I posted a tutorial on the easiest way to keep all the pieces from falling apart here & it makes this card super easy to make.

I love the colours Island Indigo, Pool Party & Lost Lagoon together but you could also do these in just one colour. The leaf is Old Olive & Pear Pizzazz.

Birthday Bouquet Crossover Card

Today I'm sharing the final project from my Birthday Bouquet Class and this was the most popular with all my ladies. This is a crossover card which I found whilst looking through Pinterest.

The card is secured with a 'belly band' made from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Papers & a bow made from the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

The inside is stamped using the large flower using Pool Party ink on Pool Party card to give a watermark effect.

I've made the sentiment tag on the front using the smaller flower & sentiment from the Birthday Bouquet stamp set punched out using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.

These products are only available until 31st May so if you don't want to miss out please contact me to order or click on the link to my online store on the sidebar.

Thanks for dropping by today and Happycrafting.

Birthday Bouquet Watercolouring

Today I'd like to share with you another project from my recent Birthday Bouquet Class.

The main focus on this card is the gorgeous flower stamp from the Birthday Blooms stamp set. This time it's been watercoloured using the Blushing Bride & Mint Macaron ink pads & an aqua brush. The centre of the flower has been coloured with the Daffodil Delight Marker & finished with a touch of Wink of Stella in gold which gives a lovely effect. The little heart detail is also a stamp from this set.

I've finished off the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set (I just love the font that's been used for these stamps) & finished off with a little piece of Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

All of these products are only available until 31st May so if you don't want to miss out please contact me to order or click on the link to my online store on the sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happycrafting.
