A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 59 Hearts

The challenge this week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is Hearts so back to my girly pinks lol!!

There are two things I've done on this card that I wish I hadn't but short of starting again there's nothing I can do. The first was sponging round the edge of the image with my SU Real Red ink & a make-up sponge. I've been a bit heavy handed & won't be trying that technique again! The second is the Little Princess ribbon . . . not right for this card but I'd already stuck the hearts on top of it so it had to stay.

Papers are basic grey & I've also used them to paper piece Maggie's dress. The cardstock is SU & I've run this through the cuttlebug hearts folder and then used an SU punch along the edge.
The image has ben cut out using circle nesties as has the sentiment.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch 58

Two challenges in one day!! Can you tell it's raining here in Leeds. Had the afternoons off yesterday & today to watch my youngest two in their sports days but both have been cancelled at the last minute due to the rain!! British weather!!.

Anyway, it's given me time in the last couple of days to have a go at some of the challenges out there. I always enjoy Sketch Saturday as the sketches are usually easy to follow.

The image has been coloured using my copics, thought I'd have a green day today lol.

The cardstock is SU & the papers are my lush Basic Grey Evie which I love. The ribbon is from my stash & the flower on the ribbon is one I've made. The other flowers, charm & sentiment are from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Copic Colour Challenge - Week 20

I've been itching to have a go at this challenge for the past couple of weeks but so far have not had the colours in my very limited copic collection. This week I at least had one colour E47 & managed with YG03 & YR07 for the other 2 which were the nearest I had. Hopefully this will still count lol!!
I've coloured in my cute Popcorn stamp purchased from Nikki's new shop Bunny Zoe Crafts. He's not exactly the colour I wanted but once again with my very limited supply of copics I had to make do but can feel another visit to Click-on-Crafts coming on!! I NEED MORE COPICS!!

The card is for my dad from my 3 girls. He's been in hospital for 2 weeks having vascular surgery but hopefully will be out either tomorrow or Thursday.

The buttons, cardstock & twine & ribbon are all from Stampin Up & the heart charm, which says 'made with love' is from my stash. The punches used are from SU & Hobbycraft.

I enjoyed making this card as it steered me away from the girly pinks & lilacs I usually use.

Thanks for looking.

Sketch Saturday 56

This is my card for this weeks Friday Sketch Challenge. I've rotated the sketch as it suited the image.

Well . . . . I'd coloured another stamp which shamefully this was the first time I'd used it & I've had it for over a year!! I still had the same bits out I'd used for the last card hence the DP & lace (sorry a bit boring I know). I'm really loving the copics & can feel another purchase coming on lol!!! I've stamped in the corner using a little heart stamp I found in my stamp drawer using SU Rose Red ink (can you tell it's my favorite SU colour lol!!)

Friday Sketchers 57

Well . . . . I finally succumbed & bought some copics!! I had a go at Rachel's a couple of weeks ago & had decided they weren't for me but I paid a visit to Click-on-Crafts on Thursday JUST!! for some double sided tape & came out with £30 of copics!!! I had a go as soon as I came home & immediately regretted my impulse buy so turned to You Tube for a copic tutorial & came across Suzanne's demo & blog. If any of you are struggling with your copics then this is a must visit. Look at her sidebar for links to tips & tricks.

So . . . . . I went back to the drawing board & voila . . . . a result I'm really pleased with to say I have so few copics (you don't get many for 30 quid lol!!).

I did the Friday sketch from memory hence the bottom DP is a bit short but hopefully it will be accepted.

Cute Card Thursday - Quotations

I can't believe it's been over 3 months since I last update my blog!!! I've had a total lack of Mojo (think I left it in Australia at Easter lol!!) & have struggled to motivate myself even to fulfill orders.
I've kept up with everyones blogs on Google Reader so I know what you've all been up but no sign of my mojo.

I went to a craft morning at Rachels house & had a great time meeting new friends & putting some faces to blogs I'd been visiting. Maddy showed us how to make cute little cupcake embellies out of fimo so I thought I'd have a go when I got home & made the embellishment on the card I've made for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge.
The papers are from Stampin Up & the image is huggybella from Stampinbella. The Happy Birthday has been stamped on fimo using Stayzon & the daisy has been made out of fimo using the technique shown by Maddy last week.

Really enjoyed making this card & hopefully it will be the start of the return on my mojo!!.

Thanks for looking.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge 41 Torn Edges

This week over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar they would like to see torn edges. I've used one of the lovely Stampinbella stamps which shamefully I don't use very often & coloured her in using Whispers pens.

The DP is scraps I had in my stash & the torn edges are on the vellum which has a butterfly print on it which doesn't show up in the picture.

The flowers I've made myself using DP circles cut with my nesties & then distressed round the edges. The small flowers & the butterfly were all free in a magazine.
The sentiment is a Cuddly Buddly stamp.
