First Of Many

I was desparate to make the beautiful ornament on the front cover of the catalogue but the stamp set has been so popular that is is currently on back order so I had to make do with just the Framelits when my order arrived on Friday.

My lovely SU sister Kate suggested I make up the ornament without the stamps to have a practice at putting it together so off I went & here's the result. Spot the boob I made with the rosette!! must make sure next time you can't see the join.
I'd missed out the beautiful new Tulle from my recent order so have used a small piece I had in my stash & I used some Christmas paper that retired last year.

I've embossed the top Lucky Limeade bauble with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I am doing a Christmas Craft Fayre in November so will definately be making more of these.
I'm loving the new Ornament Keepsakes Bundle in the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Catalogue. You can buy the Ornament Keepsakes Stamps & Framelits separately but there's a discount if you buy them both together. Contact me if you would like more details.

Butterflies Everywhere

We had a feast of butterflies at my card class last weekend. I love butterflies but must admit to not using my Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die as often as I should. We also made a tag to match the card & gift bag but I gave my sample to one of the ladies who didn't finish all her projects.
The little easel card would be ideal as a place setting, wouldn't it look nice with these decorating wedding tables?!
And the little gift bags, which are made using the Two Tags Die would make lovely wedding favours. The Lace Ribbon Border punch makes a fab handle.
I also made a large butterfly easel card to show how this can be done using the largest of the butterflies on the die.
It takes a bit of folding but is well worth the effort & I love how the vellum looks after it's been embossed.

Training Swaps

I was sorting through some photos yesterday & came across some projects I haven't posted.

This cute little ice-lolly I made as swaps for our Stampin' Up! Regional Training in May was one of them.

I love finding projects which show how you can use Stampin' Up! punches in different ways & it was very therapeutic sitting & making 50 of them.

Sweet Cake

I love the Sweet Cake stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalogue.

It's a great set for layering & it comes with three sentiments so can be used for all sorts of occasions.

I've used the stripes embossing folder to give detail to the botom of the card.

And once I'd made one I kept going lol!!

Less Is More Sketch

To say I've been AWOL from the LIM challenge blog is an understatement!! I've checked in each week but then never got around to taking part (bad bad LIMette!!)

I've tried to make some crafting time this week that's just for me & not business related, just plain old relaxing crafting, so thought I'd put this weeks sketch to good use in doing just that.

Most of the products on this card are from the Summer Mini Catalogue & I'm hoping that some of them make it into the new main catalogue in October, fingers crossed.
I've paper pieced the balloons covered them in Crystal Effects & popped them up on some Dimensionals to give a 3D effect.

Here is the second project we made at class on Saturday, a Diarama card. These cards are simple & yet so effective & fold flat for minimum postage. With the Simply Scored Board you can make these time & time again. There are instructions on how to make it with a video tutoral here thanks to Julie Davison for sharing.
We used the Up Up & Away stamp set which is so versatile & is one of my favorites from the Summer Mini Catalogue.

Class Projects

Last week I had my first class since my op so was really looking forward to seeing everyone.

I planned my Simply Scored Class ages ago & was dying to show my ladies our fab new tool.

I wanted to show how the Simply Scored an be used on all sorts of projects & how the markers at the top of the board make making multiples of the same project an absolute breeze!

One think I love about Stampin' Up! is their motto 'Share What You Love' & that is what most demonstrators do. As I'm constantly telling my ladies, if you type the name of any Stampin' Up! stamp set, tool or colour in to your search engine you will find hundreds of projects to choose from. That's just what I did with the Simply Scored & along with a couple of projects I'd come across on Pinterest I had my class projects.

This desk top card holder was from the inspirational Jo Dumbleton & the tutorial can be found here. Thank you for sharing Jo.

We decorated the card holder with a rosette & there are lots of tutorial on the web for these.

I'll be back with details of the other projects we made.

If you live in the Leeds area & would like details of my classes please email me.

Pedal Presents

I had another bit of craft therapy today & what better than a bit of colouring in.

I'm ashamed to say that this is the first time I've used this stamp set but I've seen so many lovely cards made with it that I thought it was about time I used it.

I've gone for the clean & simple look again as I'm loving this style at the moment.

Bakers Twine Flowers

I'm hanging my head in shame here when I see how long it is since I last blogged. Where has the last 3 months gone!

I found a fab tutorial on Pinterest recently for flowers using any kind of string or twine & thought they would be ideal for Stampin' Up! Bakers Twine.

They are so easy to make & as I was recovering from an operation last week it was very therapeutic to sit and make a few.

I've kept the cards very Clean & Simple.

Update

Here is the link to the twine flowers.
