Whiff of Joy Challenge 41

The challenge this week at Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog is Floral lots & lots of Floral. No problem!! I'd find it more difficult if it said 'no floral' as most of my cards have the odd flower here or there.

I've used another of the images sent to me by my friend B I' really ploughing through these as they are a joy to colour. I've coloured it using copic colours to match the DP which is Stamping Up & the flowers are my vellum punched ones I like to bulk make but I'm almost out of this colour. The circle is cut using nestabilities & the sentiment is stamped. I've added stickles to the centre of the border flowers.

Hopefully this is enough floral lol!!

Thanks for looking.

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 16 Marlene's Sketch

The challenge this week at The Sugar Bowl is a 'sweet' sketch by the very talented Marlene.I made things very difficult for myself when making this card & got myself in a bit of a twist!! I just couldn't seem to get the size & layers right but I think the end result resembles the sketch lol!!

The image is one of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps 'Dressing-Up Maggie' & was one of the first stamps I bought. It reminds me of my 5 year old when she's been raiding the dressing up box.
I've coloured the image with copics & added some stickles diamond to the boa & craft central glitter glue to the necklace to give a little bit of sparkle.

The papers are Basic Grey Eva & the cardstock is Stamping Up Elegant Eggplant & Pale Plum. The lace & ribbon are from my stash.

Thanks for looking.

Just remembered there's a 'please include' on this challenge of doodling so these are now pictures of my altered card!!

Copic Colour Challenge - Week 24

Well I'm managing to get closer to the colour choice at the Copic Colour Challenge blog now I have 30 copics to choose from!

I've used RV10 YG03 & BG01 so I'm not far off.

I've used Stampin Up cardstock & papers again. The papers are Petals & Paisleys & the cardstock is Certainly Celery & Tempting Turquoise. The ribbon is Old Olive & the buttons are from the Earth Elements set.

The image is one sent to me by my friend B (thanks B) coloured of course with Copics.

The flowers are made by me by layers different embellishments & beads.

I've made a sheet of ticket sentiments on the PC & printed them on to Kraft cardstock from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Circle Of Friends Award

I got this lovely award from my witty friend B & now have to pass it on to others. I've decided to pass it on to these lovely ladies who I first met through Docrafts & we all started our blogs about the same time. Although I've made loads of new friends since I started card making these have been there from the start mostly when I was looking for advice on the Craftalk Forum lol!!

Cute Card Thursday - Eye Eye

Really enjoyed this weeks challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. It's a long time since I've used my eyelet setter which was one of the first crafting tools I bought back when I was a novice cardmaker & hung on every word uttered by Dawn Bibby lol!! I bought the Provocraft silent setter which came with every colour eyelet you can imagine so I've managed to colour co-ordinate my eyelets.

The image is from Whiff of Joy coloured with copics.
The papers are Papermania & the cardstock is Stampin Up Certainly Celery. I picked up the cord this week on a trip to Click on Crafts to stock up on Copics it comes in packs of 4 colours & is by Habico. The charm I bought from Marlene.
The blooms, brad & sentiment are from my stash & the hearts are punched.

A friend of mine called round to pick up an 18th Birthday card she'd ordered & wanted to buy this card as well so I've hurredly taken some pictures of it before she whisked it off. She looked at me as if I'd lost the plot when I said "you can have it but I've got to take some pictures of it for a blog challenge" & then proceeded to pose my card on the garden table!!
Thanks for looking.

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 15 Gayle's Sketch

There's a great sketch to follow over at The Sugar Bowl this week & I really enjoyed using it for this card. The prize this week is four of the gorgeous Manga kids stamps from Sugar Nellie. Wouldn't you just love to win these cuties.
The papers I've used are Stampin Up Junior Varsity & the cardstock is So Saffron. The great thing about the Stampin Up products is it's not rocket science as everything can be colour co-ordinated & it tells you with every set of papers which colours can be used to the best effect. I've used Old Olive ribbon as well, as the 'please include' option this week is ribbon and/or bows.

The image is coloured with copics & the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. I've made a little grunge flower using the Varsity papers & finished off with a Papermania spotty brad.

Thanks for looking.

Whiff of Joy - Challenge 40

This weeks challenge is a sketch by the very talented Donalda. I had already coloured this Whiff of Joy image in anticipation of today challenge but when I came to use it I had to cut around the image so it didn't completely hide the embossed background.

I loved this sketch so much I made two cards & have coloured two more images ready to do baby girl cards using the same layout. Thanks Donalda.

The image is coloured with copics although apart from her hair I've done more of a brush stroke effect.

The cardstock is Stampin Up & the DP is some I bought in the sale at Click-on-Crafts. The lace & nappy are from my stash & the sentiment is computer generated.

Thanks for looking.

Inky Impressions 2nd Design Team Call

In for a penny .............................

Well, I've never taken part in any Design Team call challenges except the ones that are done on random generator.

The main focus for the challenge at Inky Impressions is the ability to colour images so, even though I'm still very much a beginner with my copics, I thought I'd give it a go.
I don't have any Inky Impressions stamps so am entering this card from an earlier challenge.

It was one of the first I coloured with my copics & was pleased with the result.

Not sure if it's what they're looking for but ...........................

Copic Colour Challenge - Week 22

This week over at Copic Colour Challenge there's a bit of a twist with the challenge being a sketch. The sketch has been done by Maddy the 'proud' guardian of Calvin Mouse.

My dad has been in hospital for over 3 weeks now. He fully expected to be 'let out' on Monday so I made him this card as a thankyou to the fantastic nursing staff who have been looking after him.

Mum has bought them a yummy biscuit slection from M & S so I thought this WOJ image was fitting.

Everything on this card, except the image, is Stamping Up. The sentiment is computer generated & cut out using Sizzlits window dies.
Thanks for looking.

Wasn't quite sure when I saw this weeks sketch lol!! but I had to make a quick card for my daughters friend so thought I'd have a go.

The image is one of my new Anya stamps bought from Tracey at Dies to Die For. I've coloured her with Copics & done the 'out of bounds' technique again.

The papers are Papermania, the ribbon is from Click on Crafts, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards & the bling is from my stash.

Whiff of Joy - Challenge 39 - Piercing

Thanks to my lovely friend Bernie I've been able to take part in this challenge without using my Christmas stamps which were the only WOJ I had (see earlier post).

The challenge at WOJ this week is piercing. I've gone for basic piercing around the inner circle. I've cut around the umbrella & then used a technique I saw on someones blog (sorry can't remember who it was but they'd done a step by step so if anyone knows who it was I'd love to give them credit) to cut around the rest of the image using a circle nestie.

I love this WOJ image & it was a joy to colour. I've gone for greens, blues & pinks this time just for a change. I have lots of lovely SU card in different colours but always seem to go for Rose Red. My hands were itching to pull out a piece but I resisted lol!

I've coloured the image using copics & the paper is from a QVC pack I've had for ages. The flowers, ribbon & button are from my stash. I've used some Anita's 3D Gloss on the raindrops to give them a bit of dimention

Thanks for looking

Update - Thanks B it was Rach's blog I saw the tutorial. It's called 'out of bounds' & can be found here
