Copic Creations Challenge 10

While blog hopping this evening I came across Copic Creations Challenge Blog & as I currently am 'soooo in lurve' with my copics I couldn't resist a browse through the blog.

As well as setting challenges they also give fab copic tutorials & as a gal who's still very much a learner I just had to subscribe & have a go at this weeks challenge.

I paid a visit to my local craft shop, Click-on-Crafts, yesterday to stock up on more copics particularly the reds, yellows & greens I'd previously avoided.

After the initial excitement of seeing that they now stock Whiff of Joy stamps yeh!!! I queued enviously behind 2 women who were buying amongst many other craft items a FULL set of copics!!! well to say I was green was an understatement lol!! I commented on the fab BoBunny ribbons they were buying & we got in to conversation (as us crafters do lol!!) & they explained they'd bought everything to colour & embellish they're new stamp range.

Well . . . . . go on . . . . hands up who wouldn't have asked ' Oh . . . which stamp range is that ??' go on . . . you know you would!! I was only in the company of Laila & Lisa from Lilli of the Valley!! & as I'd already read about they're new stamp range on the blog I was like a giddy groupee!!

Anyway back to my card!!

The challenge at Copic Creations is Red and/or Pink & the prize is a full set of the new Pale Copics WOW!!I had a complete disaster colouring Anya's boots as the reds definately go a looong way & bled out of the sides of her boots so an out of bounds technique was called for!! & more practice with the reds.

The orange cardtock is SU Only Orange & the papers is Basic Grey Ice Cream. The button & flowers & ribbon are from my stash & the twine is also SU.

The sentiment is Cuddly Buddly stamped with Only Orange SU ink.

Thanks for looking.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 17

This weeks challenge over at The Sugar Bowl is a sketch by Judy with the 'please include' of Handmade Flowers.

I always enjoy finding new ways of making my own flowers as it's a great way of being able to colour co-ordinate them with your card. I don't have many flower punches & can't get the EK Success Large Retro flower punch for love nor money so have to find ways of making them with the tools I've got.

I was reading a craft magazine earlier this week & saw instructions for cute little windmills & also some little flowers made with scalloped nesties. Well!!! do you think I could find the mag when I came to make this card yesterday?? No is the answer!! I really wanted to make the nestie flowers but was only able to make the windmills from memory so here they are. They're a bit fiddly to make especially so small (4cm square) but they were still too big to fit 3 on my card so I've broken 'The Dawn Bibby Golden Rule' of always putting an odd number of embellies on your card!! However I think this looks OK with only two. The first lot I made were 5cm square & were nearly as big as the image so I'll have to save them for another time lol!!

The papers & card are SU & the brads & ribbon are from my stash & the sentiment ribbon is from Click-on-Crafts.The image is from Sugar Nellie coloured with copics.

Thanks for looking.

Flowers, Flowers Everywhere & Buttons & Ribbon

I've combined challenges with this card.

Over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar the challenge is 'Floral Fantasy & I think you'll agree there's plenty of floral going on with this card. I've put more on than I would normally but got a bit carried away with the little roses.

Over at Simon Says Challenge they want to see buttons & ribbon so this card also qualifies for that.

The image is cute little Anya coloured with copics. The papers & card are Stampin Up as are the buttons & twine. I've made the flower using different size scalloped oval nesties & cut into the middle of the circle to form the petals. They've then been given a big dose of Stickles Diamonds as have the roses. The ribbon is from my stash & the sentiment is computer generated using a cute little flower font I found last night then cut out using the nesties labels one.

I made two cards exactly the same except the other sentiment is ' A Bunch Of Birthday Wishes 'Thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers 63

Another fab sketch this week over at Friday Sketchers & this weeks sponsor is Simon Says Stamp.
I love this cute image from CC Designs they are a joy to colour. I coloured this cute little pixie Heidi with Copics I used Stickles Diamond on her wings. I've cut her out using my new Labels One Nesties & mounted that on another Nesties mat in pink.

The cardstock is Stampin Up Certainly Celery & Regal Rose & the DP is Papermania. The Certainly Celery cardstock has been run through the cuttlebug using the Argyle folder.

The ribbon, flowers & butterfly are from my stash & the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
