Jem's December Blog Hop - My Favourite Product of 2016

Hello and welcome to the last Jem's Blog Hop of 2016!

You will either have come to me from the lovely Karen's blog or you'll have come to me directly but either way you are very welcome & I hope you are enjoying our hop!

The theme of this month's hop is either a review of our favourite project of 2016 or highlights of our favourite products.

I've chosen to highlight my favourite products of 2016 and for me it has to be the products I've used the most which are the Alphabet & Number Dies.

I find that for almost every card I make I've either used the Alphabet to die cut the persons name or the Numbers for a special birthday or Anniversary.

Using these dies makes your projects so personal & I've had so many compliments from the recipients of these. Everyone likes something special that's personal to them.

I think my favourite of these projects has to be the handbag card I made for my eldest daughter's 21 st birthday. She loved it.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these dies to anyone who likes to make their gifts and projects that little bit more special and add that personal touch.

If you would like to order and of these dies or any other Stampin' Up! products then please see the link in the right hand sidebar.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope you'll continue on our hop to Samantha's blog as I know she will have something fabulous for you to see.

Happy Crafting!

November Blog Hop - Christmas Decorations

Welcome to this months Jems Blog Hop. You'll have either come to me from the lovely Lucy or arrived directly, either way you are very welcome & I hope you're enjoying our hop.

This month we have the last of our Christmas themed projects & it's Christmas Decorations.
I love making Christmas decorations for around my home and love getting them out year after year.

When I saw the Santa Sleigh Framelits in this years Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Catalogue I put them straight at the top of my Wish List so I'd be able to make the frame on page 24.

As soon as my class ladies saw it they wanted a class just to make this & I have to say it's been my most popular class of the year. Everyone at the class also ordered the Santa Sleigh Bundle so they could go away & make frames for friends & family.

I've used the Mica Flakes on page 21 to decorate the trees . . . . . don't they look cute & snowy!?

The very blingy Santa Sleigh has been made using the Gold Foil Card with a layer of Gold Glitter Card on top . . . . very regal!

And don't Rudolph & his reindeer friend look very proud to be pulling Santa's Sleigh?

Well I hope you've enjoyed my project today & if you feel inspired to make your own frame please click on the link to my shop which you'll find on the right hand side.

Next on the hop is my lovely friend Sarah-Jane who I know will have a fab project to light up your day!

Happy Crafting!

October Jems Blog Hop - All That Glitters

Hello & welcome to this months Jems Blog Hop where the very Chrismassy theme is All That Glitters!

I love all the sparkle that Christmas brings and there are lots of Stampin' Up! products to give that extra bling at this time of year.

As soon as I came across this Z Fold card on Pinterest I wanted to have a go with the new Santa's Sleigh dies in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

There is so much detail in the sleigh die & it cuts beautifully.

I've stamped the very regal looking reindeer in Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock & don't they look so proud to be pulling Santa's Sleigh!

Can you see Rudolph's nose lighting the way at the front?

I've used the Gold Foil Sheets for layering & also for the pine trees . . . . well you can never have too much gold can you?!

More gold with the thread to tether the reindeer together & extra bling using the Red, Gold & Silver Glitter Card for the sleigh & presents.

I've also used the Softly Falling Embossing Folder which I have to say has had alot of use in my Christmas Classes so far this year.

Next in line on the Hop is the lovely Sarah-Jane who I know will have plenty of sparkle for you to look at.

Enjoy the Hop & Happy Crafting.

Jem's September Blog Hop - Christmas Is Coming

Hello & welcome to the Jem's September Blog Hop. The 1st of September saw the launch of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue which is full of so many fantastic products for your Halloween, Christmas & Autumn/Fall projects.

As soon as I saw the Star of Light bundle on page 9 of the Autumn/Winter Catalogue I knew it would be at the top of my wish list!

The background flourish looks so lovely stamped with Versamark & embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. I haven't bought the Copper Card yet but that will definitely be on my shopping list for my next order.

I absolutely love the sentiment stamps & the dies are so detailed & intricate they will add a touch of decadence to your Christmas cards.

I've only scratched the surface with the possibilities for this bundle and I know there is lots more I can do with it.

I think the largest star would look fab as a decoration on a candle . . . . . . what do you think?

Thankyou for joining us on our Hop & I hope you'll continue on to the lovely Sarah-Jane who I know will have something fab to show you.

Happy Crafting!

Jem's August Blog Hop - When is a bag not a bag?

When it's a card . . . . . .

I've made quite a few of these handbag cards since Amanda Bates at the Craft Spa put the instructions on her blog. It's so easy to make but so effective. You can find the instructions here.

This was an extra special one I made for my eldest daughters 21st birthday. She loves her handbags so I knew straight away that I'd be making one of these cards for her. I used the bag card to give her a gift of a necklace she wanted & it was the ideal size inside.

I've had a bit of a Thinlets & Framelits frenzy with this bag but if you can't throw everything at a card for such a special birthday when can you?

I've use a few of the thinlets from the Sunshine Wishes set and also the Large Numbers Framelits.

I also love the Labeler Alphabet stamp set & it was ideal for personalising the bag card.

My daughter absolutely loved her card & I really enjoyed making it.

Thanks for taking the time to join us on our Blog Hop today and I hope you are enjoying all the inspiration. Next of your journey is the lovely Julie who I know will have a fab project for you.

Happy Crafting.

Swirly Bird

Although I've had the Swirly Bird set for a few weeks I hadn't used it at a class until this month.

This set is so versatile & there are so many cards on Pinterest to give you ideas of how to use it.

This is a card I designed for the class using not only the Swirly Bird stamps & dies but also the Thoughtful Banners Stamp set & matching punch.

Always love Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive together. Great colour combo.

I'll be showing some more examples of how you can use the Swirly Bird bundle over the next few days so do please pop back.

Thanks for dropping by & Happy Crafting!
