One Stop Craft Challenge

The challenge this week at One Stop Craft Challenge is 'Optimistically Pink'. Now I don't need any encouragement at all to make a pink card!! in fact once I'd started this I went on to make another 3 the same. I just lurve pink!!

The image is from Pink Petticoat & is very popular for little girls cards, so pretty. The lace is from Click-on-Crafts, the papers are Papermania Retro & the card is Stampin Up.

The cream 'tulle' was in with the goodies Bernie sent me a couple of weeks ago & the little flower is punched with the new Nellie punches. These are great (although a little hard to punch out, you need muscles if you're going to use these punches) & come in a set with a punch & an embosser. You punch out the flower & then put it in to another little contraption that looks like a punch but this embosses it (hope that makes sense!!!) The tiny gems are 2mm rhinestones from here, they come in different sizes & lots of colours.

Thanks for looking.

Love Is In The Air

The 'L' word has benn the theme for quite a few challenges this week & while I don't usually combine challenges I'm going to enter this card in both Cute Card Thursday & Simon Says Challenge .

The image once again is the gorgeous Manga Dreamy coloured with copics & cut out using my Nesties circle & then liquid pearls around the edge. The papers are Basic Grey Eva & Sugared & the cardstock is Stampin Up. The hearts are Heidi swap sent to me by my buddy Bernie as were the flowers. The flower centre & daisy ribbon are from my stash. The sentiment is computer printed & punched out using the SU word window punch.

Thanks for looking.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Over at the Sugar Bowl the challenge until 24th Feb is a fab sketch by Tiets. I looked at this sketch at least twice before I decided to have a go as I really struggle to do the more complicated ones (I waste more paper trying to get the components the right size!) but once I started to work with it it was really easy & I'll definitely be using it again. The 'Please Include' is 3 flowers 2 brads & one button which I have plenty of lol!!.

The papers are yummy Basic Grey Nook & Pantry which my good friend Bernie sent to me at the weekend. Think I'll have to treat myself to some of this!!. The stamp was also a gift from Bernie & is the gorgeous Sugar Nellie Manga 'Dreamy' which was a joy to colour with my copics. Yes I did remember how to use them after all this time but am not so sure about her hair!! She looks as though she's had a bad highlights job!! The brads are from my stash & the flowers are punched from the same Basic Grey paper & finished with a little pearl bead in the centre.

Thanks for looking.

Sir Stampalot Challenge & Bloghop

I spent a very enjoyable hour or so this morning hopping around the DT blogs for the Sir Stampalot blog who currently have a challenge running to celebrate the opening of their new shop. The first prize is mega!!! & includes a Big Shot (pick me me me!!!) along with lots of other fab prizes but you'll have to pop along to Brenda's blog & read all about it.

The challenge is make a card or project with the theme of moving which can be interpreted however you want. I have made a card using the carousel horse which I bought from Whimsy Stamps to help raise money for the Red Cross & their Haiti appeal. The horse is the moving part as a carousel moves round & round & round lol!! dizzy yet!! & also the dangly 'hope' charm is moveable.

The DP is from Stampin Up as is the white ribbon & cardstock. The flowers & leaves have been punched from the same card. The image has been coloured with copics. The charm & lace are from my stash & the sentiment is from a Stampin Up stamp set.

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Spots & Dots

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Spots & Dots'. I had this image from Pink Petticoat already printed & wanted to do a card for my youngest daughter to take to a party yesterday. The pink 'net' is from the fab stash my good friend Bernie sent me yesterday (read the post below) & the rest of the card is made from bits & pieces I had in my stash. The sentiment & name are computer printed using my favorite font at the moment which is Kingthings Wrote.

Thanks for looking.

Look at my lovely SURPRISE!!!!

Just look at the fabby goodies my special blogging buddy Bernie sent me. I've been complaining since Christmas that I had serious Mojoitis and had done very little card making since before Christmas. I kept going & having a look at all my crafting stash & really not knowing where to start. I'd picked my copics up more than once & put them down again as I couldn't remember where to start with an image!! Bernie decided to take the bull by the horns (well I am a Taurean lol!!) & give me a proverbial kick up the arris. All these lovely goodies dropped through my letter box yesterday & within an hour I had put some of the pink 'net' (not sure of the correct name for it!) to use on a card for a party my youngest was going to (posted above).

Don't you just love this new Manga Dreamy stamp?? I'm going to ink her up this afternoon & see if I can remember how to use my copics.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou Bernie, for always being there when I need to have a moan & for always making me laugh. One day I hope we'll meet.

Bet you all wish you had a friend like Bernie.
