A Touch of Class

Really liked this image when I saw it over at Vicki's blog a while ago so when I got an order for a 30th birthday card for a customers daughter who's having a black evening dress party I knew exactly the stamp to use. I ordered the Pink Cat Studio Fashion plate stamps from Tracey at Dies To Die For. I made the card & delivered it yesterday & she was very happy with it.

I've been having another play this evening & have made a card that covers 3 challenges.

A Spoonful Of Sugar - Happy Birthday

Papertake Weekly - Sketch Challenge

The image has been stamped on to SU Whisper White cardstock & mounted on some black card I had. The papers are Papermania & the background square of paper is SU Speciality Wedding paper which is gorgeous & comes in black, white & cream.

The flowers have been made by punching 2 SU 5 Petal Punch flowers from vellum & I've rubbed over the centre of each petal with an embossing tool. The centre is the middle sized flower from the Boho Blossoms SU punch & I've finished off with some tiny pearl beads in the centre. I'm really pleased with how these have turned out.

I've made a double bow & threaded on a handbag charm. The sentiment is computer printed & punched out with the SU Word Window punch.

Thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers & One Stop Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers & One Stop Craft Challenge which is 'Things With Wings'. I am guilty of buying this stamp well before Christmas to make cards but have only just inked it up . . . . how bad is that??

I've coloured her with Copics & added Stickles to her wings, wand & shoes.
The papers are some bits I had & the cardstock is SU. There's a little bit of pink mesh on there too & the flower & brad are from my stash. The sentiment is from an SU set called Wimsical Words.

Stamp Something

The challenge for this week at Stamp Something is layers. I had just finished these simple Communion Cards & was about to pack them for the card sale when I checked out today's new challenges on the various challenge blogs.

I have stamped the cross on Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock using Brocade Blue ink & the Special Blessings stamp set. The sentiments are also from the set & have been stamped using the same ink & my fantastic new toy, a Stamp-a-ma-jig!! how did I ever get my sentiments straight without it??
The layers are white cardstock & Barely Blue SU card cut out using the Labels 4 Nesties & the white has been edged with the Brocade Blue ink & the cross pop dotted on the top.

Very simple cards.

Creative Card Crew

The theme for the next fortnight at The Creative Card Crew is 'Happy Birthday' simple as that.

Recognise the colour scheme from my last post?? I really like these colours together so made some more of these pretty little flowers.

This card is a complete case of this card by Joanne at Mainly Flowers. If you love Stampin Up products & flowers this blog is definitely worth following.
The colors are once again Certainly Celery, So Saffron & Rose Red & the DP is Certainly Celery. The butterfly is a Quickutz die which I don't use as often as I should. The white paper has been punched using a lovely Daisy punch from Hobbycraft which was only £3.99. The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive ink & the flowers which were punched with the Boho Blossoms SU punch are finished off with Liquid Pearls.
I've made a few of these to add to the batch for my card sale.

Thanks for looking.

I'm on a roll!!

No post's for weeks & then three come along all at once!! I made these cards for the Daring Cardmaker challenge but have only just put the sentiments on today so am cutting it fine as there'll be a new challenge tomorrow.

The challenge is 'If the shoe fits'. The stamped shoe is from a set I bought from Tracy at Dies To Die For last week along with the Nesties . It's from Pink Cat Studio & has some great fashion stamps on it. These were really quick & easy cards to do & I've already lined up the bits to make 10 more as I have a card sale at the beginning of May & this sort of card always sells really well.
The shoe was stamped on to So Saffron, Certainly Celery & Rose Red Stampin Up cardstock & mounted on white card which in turn is mounted on SU Certainly Celery DP. The ribbon is Bo Bunny & the bling is from my stash. The sentiment is computer printed & punch out using the SU Word Window punch.

Thanks or looking.

One Card 2 Challenges

I don't very often combine challenges but when I saw the theme at Cute Card Thursday this week I realised that the card I've made this morning for Sketch Saturday fits in with the touchy feely theme.

I still had the papers & card out from my last card (hark at me sounding as if I tidy up after I've made a card lol) so the colour scheme is the same. The So Saffron card has been run through the Cuttlebug to give an embossed look (the first touchy feely bit). The image which is part of a set of Anya's from TGF has been coloured with copics & cut out using a circle nestie & the edges inked with SU ink. The twill ribbon is also Stampin Up & has been stamped using the smallest flower stamp from the Simply Said set in Rose Red ink & a tiny crystal set in the middle. I really like how these have turned out. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards & has been finished off with some more of these cute little flowers.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge

There is a sketch callenge across at The Sugar Bowl & the prize is . . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . . 6 Sugar Nellie Stamps of your choice and a set of 10 Promarkers WOW!!!! well worth having a go at the great sketch and to celebrate the arrival of spring & the lovely flowers popping up everywhere there is a 'please include' of flowers.

The only stipulation to qualify is that you use a Sugar Nellie image.
I coloured the image (which was sent to me by my pal Bernie) with copics & cut her out using my new Nesties Label 4 dies which arrived this week. I've inked around the edges with a little bit of So Saffron from Stampin Up. Other SU products used are the card, which is So Saffron & Kraft, the DP & the flowers have been punched using the Boho Flower punch. I've then cut inbetween the petals and rubbed the middle with an embossing tool to give them a bit of dimension & finished off with liquid pearls in the centre. The leaves are punched using a Nellie Snellen punch & the sentiment is printed ribbon from my stash attached with mini staples.
Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Mono Mania

This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is to create something using shades of just one colour. Last month it was my Stampers 10 hostess month so I got lots of Stampin Up goodies one of which was this gorgeous stamp set Simply Said. I've stamped it with Impress Black ink & coloured the flowers using Whispers markers I've then added a bit of bling to the flowers & distressed the edges with Stampin Up Rose Red ink. The papers are from the SU Rose Red designer range & the card is also Rose Red. The flowers have been punched using the Nellie Snellen punch & emboss sets & more bling added to the centre. The tulle was sent by my good friend Bernie & the sentiment is also Stampin Up stamped with Rose Red ink.
