Rose Garden Watercolour

Here is the second card from my Rose Wonder Class. The larger of the rose dies is stunning used on its own on a card but I've taken it a step further & created an embellishment that's more like a chip board thickness. I've done this by die cutting four of the large roses using thick Whisper White Cardstock (140490) & stuck them together using the Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309) which is ideal for this project.

I've then used an Aqua Painter (103954) to paint over the top of the rose in Rose Red (126954), Old Olive (126953) & Tempting Turquoise (126952) ink pads using the lid as a palette to pick up the ink.

This set of dies is really versatile & could be used for many many cards . . . birthday, sympathy, wedding, anniversary, get well . . . . the list is endless.

If you would like to order any of the items I've used please click on the link to my online store in the sidebar.

Rose Garden Die - Stained Glass Effect

Absolutely love this Stained Glass Effect & the Rose Garden die is ideal for this technique. I posted a tutorial on the easiest way to keep all the pieces from falling apart here & it makes this card super easy to make.

I love the colours Island Indigo, Pool Party & Lost Lagoon together but you could also do these in just one colour. The leaf is Old Olive & Pear Pizzazz.

Birthday Bouquet Crossover Card

Today I'm sharing the final project from my Birthday Bouquet Class and this was the most popular with all my ladies. This is a crossover card which I found whilst looking through Pinterest.

The card is secured with a 'belly band' made from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Papers & a bow made from the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

The inside is stamped using the large flower using Pool Party ink on Pool Party card to give a watermark effect.

I've made the sentiment tag on the front using the smaller flower & sentiment from the Birthday Bouquet stamp set punched out using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.

These products are only available until 31st May so if you don't want to miss out please contact me to order or click on the link to my online store on the sidebar.

Birthday Bouquet Watercolouring

Today I'd like to share with you another project from my recent Birthday Bouquet Class.

The main focus on this card is the gorgeous flower stamp from the Birthday Blooms stamp set. This time it's been watercoloured using the Blushing Bride & Mint Macaron ink pads & an aqua brush. The centre of the flower has been coloured with the Daffodil Delight Marker & finished with a touch of Wink of Stella in gold which gives a lovely effect. The little heart detail is also a stamp from this set.

I've finished off the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set (I just love the font that's been used for these stamps) & finished off with a little piece of Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

All of these products are only available until 31st May so if you don't want to miss out please contact me to order or click on the link to my online store on the sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happycrafting.

Quick Tip For The Rose Garden Die

Two posts in one day but I just had to share these tips with you.

This week I've run two classes and we've used the small rose from the Rose Wonder die to make the flower on this card.

The ladies had a bit of a problem with so many pieces to keep under control as they had to die cut the Rose in three different colours to get the stained glass effect.

I was determined to find a solution before Saturdays class & set out to find post it notes with a fully sticky back . . . . . but no luck.

Then yesterday morning I had a Eureka moment and thought I'd share it.

First die cut the Rose.

Then use Washi Tape on the back of the die. I've used retired Stampin' Up! Washi tape & taken some of the stickiness off by sticking it to my sleeve first.

Use the new Die Brush & Mat to release the card from the die or just push the pieces out. The brush & mat is really worth the investment though.

The bits come out perfectly and stay in the Rose shape and make it so easy to pick the pieces you want to piece in the rose outline.

Another tip for placing the tiny pieces is to put blue tack on the end of a ball tool and use it to pick up and place them.

Hope you find these tips useful and thanks for dropping by today. Happycrafting.

Birthday Bouquet Decoupage

Here is the second project from my recent Birthday Bouquet Class.

The gorgeous papers in the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series pack are so versatile & as well as being used for background papers they can also be used as decoupage.

I haven't done any decoupage for years but as soon as I saw the large roses on one of the sheets I knew it would be ideal for this technique.

I've used the large stamp to give a watermark effect by stamping it in Pool Party ink on Pool Party card. I love this effect.

Finished off with a bow in the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon & the largest sentiment from the set.

Here is a closer look at the gorgeous flower.

These papers are only available until 31st May so if you don't want to miss out please contact me to order or click on the link to my store on the sidebar.

Birthday Bouquet Class

My product class for March was all designed around the Birthday Bouquet Product Suite. This has been my favourite product suite from this years Spring/Summer Catalogue & I'll be sorry to see it go at the end of May. You've still got a few weeks to get your hands on them before they're gone for good. See the link on the right hand side if  you'd like to order from my online store.

Here is the first project I'm sharing with you. A cute gift bag made using the Gift Bag Punch Board & Birthday Bouquest Designer Series Papers. I've CASEd this card from Pinterest and haven't changed anything at all as I love the way everything goes together. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set & decorated with the Honeycomb Embellishments, Bow Paper Clips & Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

Is wasn't until I came to take pictures of the gift bag that I realised it must have caught a few raindrops when I took it to our Monthly Team Training on Wednesday! Will have to redo the tag when I come to use it for a gift.

Thanks for dropping by today. Happycrafting!.

Congratulations On Your Silver Wedding Anniversary

Today is the 25th Wedding Anniversary of one of my close friends and class attendees. Some of my class ladies were horrified that Cathy would rather spend tonight with her husband & not at a class which I thought was funny.

I posted this card to her yesterday so hopefully she has received it and I'm safe to put it on here.

I've used to gorgeous Rose Garden Thinlets Die and I think you'll agree it's stunning cut from the Silver Glimmer Card.

I've used Thick Whisper White for the card base with a mat of Mint Macaron cardstock followed by a mat of Designer Series Paper from the Birthday Blooms pack with a mat of Vellum Cardstock ontop to soften the paper.

I couldn't decide whether to diecut the numbers using the Large Numbers Framelit Dies from silver but thought it might be a bit of a silver overload so went with the Mint Macaron.

Hopefully Cathy & Graham will like it. Happy Anniversary to you both!
