Welcome to my blog & the first Jem's Blog Hop of 2017!
Wow! Where did that year go? It doesn't seem like 2 minutes since we were getting excited about the new Spring/Summer Catalogue & Sale-a-Bration in January 2016 & here we are a year later.
Well I say it every time a new catalogue comes out but this has got to be the best Spring/Summer Catalogue so far & the Sale-a-Bration choices are fab too.
I've used one of my favourite Sale-a-Bration sets for 2 of the projects I'm going to share with you today. Well the 'Hey Chick' stamp set certainly wasn't one of my favourites when I first looked at the brochure but after seeing a few projects on Pinterest it moved straight to the top of my 'must have' list & the fact that it was FREE is even better!
I found this card on Pinterest & loved the doodle art frame around the card so wanted to give it a go. I think it adds a fun bit of detail & is so simple to do.
I decorated the inside too with the cute little egg stamp that comes with the set. There are also 3 sentiments with the set which all add to the fun. The one I haven't used says 'You're a good egg'!
I've also seen lots of cards where the images have been stacked on top of each other so I thought I'd give that a go too. I've made a tall thin card & had lots of fun with the new Watercolour Pencils & my Blender Pen colouring them in.
My next project is a card I made to send out with the catalogues I've posted this week & it's using the Beautiful You stamp set. This set comes with 3 images & 8 sentiments.
It really is a versatile set & here I've used the paper piecing technique for her dress & water colouring for her body & hat.
All the sentiments are lovely but I particularly like this one.
I hope you've enjoyed my projects & thankyou for visiting my blog today. Next in the hop is the lovely Sarah-Jane who I know will have something lovely for you to feast your eyes on!
