Friday Sketchers

I enjoyed this weeks sketch as it is nice and simple. I panic when there are alot of pieces to the sketch as it takes me ages to get everything just right.

I'd already coloured in two of the Mo Mannings images 'Swine Flu' which I think is so funny & really appropriate for the current illness climate!! Although I showed the finished cards to hubbie & cousin who both completely missed the gist of the card!!

Might have to do a bit of market research at work tomorrow & see if I need to change the sentiment. I had thought of putting 'You're not well . . . what a swine!' but changed my mind. Any thoughts????
The papers are from Craftwork Cards chosen because I wanted to make a card that would be suitable for anyone (hopefully it works). The image has been coloured with Copics & the ribbon is Bo Bunny from Click-on-Crafts. The card candy is also from Craftwork Cards. The 'flower' is made by distressing different sized circles cut with nesties. The sentiment is punched using an SU Word Window Punch & the brads are from my stash.

Friday Sketchers & A Missed Challenge!!

I had originally made this card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge which was 'red & cream & one other colour' which in my case was green but the week had run away with me & it wasn't until I went on this morning that I realised I'd missed it!! Luckily I'd also followed this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch so it's not a wasted card.

The image is the cute Herb & Girlfriend from Whiff of Joy stamped on cream card & coloured with Copics. The papers are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses & the cardstock is SU. The ribbons are SU & BoBunny, the heart charm is from my stash & the chain & ring are from Whiff of Joy. The 'Believe' tag is from QVC & the sentiment is computer printed.

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Midnight Margaritas

This week over at CCT they want to see cards/projects with a drink/cocktail theme. One of the DT had used this Stampinbella stamp which I'd forgotten I had (shame on me!!) so I thought I'd do a 'grown up' Christmas card. I've paperpieced her outfit as I find these Bellas a bit hard to colour with Copics.
I'm not 100% happy with either of these cards & would probably merge the two in some way if I make any more (see how these sell first). My favorite part is the stapled ribbon which I will definately do again.

The papers are Papermania & the cardstock is SU Certainly Celery. The ribbon is BoBunny from Click-on-Crafts & the metal corners are from my stash (they're one of the bits I don't like as they're not very Christmassy!)

I made a batch of these little Christmas puddings last year for a bulk order I got & found them the other day when unpacking my Christmas stash!. The sentiment is computer printed using a new font I found called Kingthings Wrote.

Thanks for looking

Simon Says - All That Sparkles

Well I was just going to upload this card to show the last of my Babys First Christmas cards, this tine in pink (I'm sure Kai won't mind being made into a girl!) when I read this mornings challenges one of which is Simon Says which this week is 'All that Sparkles'.

The image is from Mo's Magical Pencil coloured once again with Copics. I've added Flowersoft again for the snow & cut out using labels one nesties (deja vue here me thinks!!).The cardstock is SU & the papers I think are Papermania but I'm not sure which range. The ribbon is from my stash & the snowflake is either from Bunny Zoe or Whiff of Joy. The snowflakes are again cut from Quickutz & coated in stickles & finished off with a bit of bling.

Promise my next card won't be a baby card lol!!

Thanks for looking.

Gosh!! I almost forgot . . . . the sentiment is printed on the computer & punched out using the SU Word Window punch which I was so excited to get from my SU rep Jules (great customer service & great gal!) that I was on her doorstep withing a couple of hours of this months parcel arriving lol!!

Friday Sketchers 75

Another great sketch this week across at Friday Sketchers. Have used the fab image from Mo's Digital Pencil again (can you tell I love this image!!) & once again coloured it with my Copics. I was a bit worried as I've had trouble with the red's bleeding before when I've used them with stamped images but had absolutely no trouble at all with the computer printed ones . . . phew!!
The DP is Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey & the Ho Ho Ho ribbon is from an old QVC Christmas set. The Merry & Bright ribbon I bought yesterday from Click-on-Crafts & the brads are from my stash. The stars have been cut using a Sizzix die & stickles added & the sentiment has been computer printed & cut using Nesties Labels One.

Thanks for looking.

Daring Cardmakers - My Favorite Things

The challenge this week over at Daring Cardmakers is to use as many of your favorite things on a card as you can. They've asked that we try & use 5 but if you use 10 or more you can have a vertual 'gold star'!!.

How much fun is this baby having in the snow!! this is my favorite image at the moment, it's just so cute & ideal for Baby's First Christmas cards (that's the sentiment that's going on it when I get my SU Word Window Punch!! yah!!)

My favorite things are
1. My Stampin Up cardstock available in so many colours you always have the one you're looking for to hand.
2. My Stampin Up DP I just love this colour.

3. My cuttlebug embossing folders - I've used the winter word one for this card.

4. My SU punches - I've used the Spiral one on here.

5. My copic pens - love love love them!! & bought another 10 today!!.

6. My bling - love this on cards.

7. My Stickles Diamond a must have!!

8. Charms - love using these on my cards.

9. Nestabilities - have used the labels 1 on this card. I don't have nearly enough of these sets as I'd like.

right . . . . . . one more . . . .

10. My newest favorite is Flowersoft!! especially this Polar White as it's fab for snow. Don't need any tips for using it but would love to know how you get it back in that tiny tub when you've had a sprinkle lol!! there's tons of it.
The gorgeous image is from Mo's Digital Pencil & now I've had a play with my copics & found that my printer ink doesn't bleed with them I'll be buying lots more.
Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something - Brown Plus Something

Here is my card for this weeks challenge over at Stamp Something which is to use brown predominantly in your card.

Brown isn't a colour I would usually use but I made Christmas cards last year using this stamp & they didn't look right coloured in so I decided this year just to stamp the image & I am really pleased with the result.

Everything on this card is from Stampin Up except the nativity image & the 'Joy' sentiment which is computer generated. The cardstock, the ink used to stamp the image, the crossgrain ribbon on the front of the card & the designer paper are all Close to Cocoa. That's the great thing about Stampin Up products everything can be colour co-ordinated.

The sentiment on the front is from a Stampin Up set called Wonderous Gift.

I have everything stamped cut & ready to make another 12 of these tonight with a couple of glasses of the red stuff!!

Cute Card Thursday - So Charming.

The challenge this week over at Cute Card Thursday is to use a charm on your card. I've bought lots of charms just recently but on searching through them this is my last flower!! a bit of shopping required me thinks lol!!

This is another of the stamps I won from Squiggles & Giggles & is Daisy with Flowers, such a cutie. The papers & sentiment were also in the candy & are from Kay & Co.

The cardstock is from Stampin Up as is the button & the ribbon is from my stash.

I've made the little pin from beads I had in my stash & threaded them onto a pin I bought at Hobbycraft last week.

I'm really pleased with the flower which is a classic case of searching through the things you've got before buying new!! I'll explain ..... I have been waiting for a local craft shop to get the Whale Retro Flower punch in stock & it's been out of stock for weeks & weeks. I'd seen the flowers Rach had posted a tutorial for on her blog & wanted to have a go. While having a tidy up I went through my Sizzix dies which I used to use all the time before I started stamping & there was a flower die which while not a retro flower will certainly do & save me around £13!! (to spend on something else lol!!)
I've also used the EK Success punch, which was also part of the candy, on the border of the cardstock.

Thanks for looking.

Copic Colour Challenge - Challenge 33

Here is my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge where the colours are G02, Y11 & V15. I only had Y11 for this weeks card so improvised with the green & violet shades.

My card is also a Thankyou to Squiggles & Giggles Stamps as my fabulous blog candy arrived today & of course I couldn't wait to ink up one of the stamps Oscar With Frame which comes with several sentiment stamps. These images stamp really clearly & are fab to colour.

The cardstock is Stampin Up & the papers are Papermania Masculine. The buttons, twine & tape are also Stampin Up.

I've used the sentiment stamp again on the tape across the front & the boarder has been done ising the zig-zag punch in the blog candy.

The card I've made is an easel card which was also for a challenge I found while blog hopping the other night but now I can't find it!!!! If anyone has come across it could they let me know please as I've gone through all the blogs I've got on Google Reader (not funny) & no luck at all. A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

High Hopes Challenge 45

The challenge over at High Hopes is to use your favorite High Hopes stamp.

Well !! slight confession . . . . I only have one High Hopes stamp . . . . . but I did buy it because it has been my favorite for ages. I've made quite a few Christmas cards already this year which is an absolute first for me but when I bought this super cute 3 Pane Santa stamp from Bunny Zoe's Crafts (great customer service btw) I couldn't resist using it again & again.

The Merry Christmas stamp is from Stampin Up & is one I'd forgotten I had until I saw it on someone elses blog. The ribbon is BoBunny & is available from Click-on-Crafts in lots of different colours. The Naughty or Nice sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly & I've layered in using circle & scallop circle nesties.

The High Hopes image has been coloured using copics & finished off with stickles. The cardstock is Stampin Up & the DP is papermania.

Here is another card I've made with the same stamp but totally different colours.Good job I took photos of these yesterday as they sold this morning before I could even put them out!! Better make some more lol!!
Thanks for looking.

Copic Colour Challenge - Guest DT card

Here is my card for my Guest DT spot over at Copic Colour Challenge. The colours this week are V06 B23 & BG23. Not a good week for me as I only have one of the colours (B23) but they are quite happy for you to use your nearest colour so everyone can join in.
The image is a cute Bildmalarna sent to me by my good friend Bernie. The DP is Stampin Up as is the cardstock. The ribbon is from Click-on-Crafts & is BoBunny. They have this polka dot ribbon in lots of yummy colours & two different widths, fatal as this is my local craft shop & I find myself drifting down there every other week.

I've made the flower by cutting 3 different size circles with my nesties & distressing the edges, love making these it's quite theraputic lol!!

I've die cut the buttons from the same cardstock using a sizzlits die & have then coated them with Anita's 3D Gloss so hopefully they look realistic.

The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly & there's also been a bit of distressing going on with this!

Thanks for looking & I've really enjoyed my first DT challenge.
