Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 16 - No Patterned Paper
No Patterned Paper
Now, if this fills you with horror, as it did me, you are allowed to make your own patterned paper or card by stamping, inking, doodling etc. on plain paper or cardstock. You can emboss, tear and add anything else you like. The only restriction is no 'bought' patterned paper!
Well I managed to complete the challenge & didn't use any patterned paper.
The image is a download from Pink Petticoat coloured with Whispers pens & highlighted with Stickles & Anitas 3D Gloss.
This is a card ordered by the trainee stylist at the hairdressers where I sell some of my cards. He was very sure about the design he wanted & hopefully I've followed it to the letter (literally LOL!!) Hopefully his Mum will like it too.
The lettering & 40 have been printed on the computer & I've then cut out the bottom of the lettering & used it as the kickstand part of the A5 card. I've covered the join up with the ribbon which is from my stash. The flowers & brad are from Poppicrafts.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar - Challenge 5 Checks Galore
This weeks challenge Checks Galore. We would like you to make a card using any type of check paper Ribbon or Brads, ect somewhere on the design. We have some fantastic blog candy to send one randomly chosen winner this week, which Donna from Crafty Krafts has kindly donated.
I think I got a bit carried away with this card lol!! Seem to have everything on it except the kitchen sink!!. Have used the oh so cute Sweet Ebony which has been coloured with watercolour pencils, whispers markers & Sakura Tiara pens with a bit of Stickles thrown in for good measure.
The denim flower is Papermania, the sentiment is from Craftwork cards & the brad in the centre of the flower was from a bulk lot I bought from a lady who was selling all her craft supply.
The ribbon & prima flower are from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers Week 7
Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers. I loved this sketch & have kept it in my favorites folder for use in the future. I've been dying to use my new Sweet Ebony stamp (I bought this one & the picking apples one last week) and just adore this sweet image.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 15
I decided to make another Matilda Muffinbread kick-stand card mainly because I already had the image coloured & mounted on a scalloped nestabilities circle.
I coloured the image using watercolour pencils & finished off with Anitas 3D paint & beads on the muffin.
I've made the flowers myself from an article in a past Creativity magazine using coloured vellum & a daisy punch & finished off with clear crystals.
The DP has a lovely glitter finish to it which doesn't show up in the picture. I've also decorated the inside of the card as shown on the smaller picture.
Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 14
3 different types of embellishments
e.g. buttons, brads, ribbons"
This is a cute stamp I bought last week & I think is my current favorite (until the Sweet Ebony stamps I ordered last night arrive LOL!!)
The 3 embellishments I've used are blooms, gems & a tag. The papers are Retro Floral from Papermania (no surprise there lol!!) & I've had a go at faux stitching & a little bit of a distressed look.
Thanks for looking.

Well, I've been so busy over the past week preparing for my daughters First Holy Communion celebrations yesterday that I haven't had chance to check my blog & I've passed the 5000 hits barrier without even realising. I can't believe I've had so many visitors in such a short space of time. I've made some lovely friends through both Docrafts & blogging, some of which I know will be friends for life.
So, I would like to offer some Blog Candy in celebration of Friendship !! and for reaching my 5000 visitors.
You can enter in two ways
1. Leave a comment on this post & link my blog to yours by 'advertising' my blog candy on your blog. That will get you one entry in to the draw.
2. Make a card with a 'Friendship' theme & leave a comment on this post with a link to your card. This will get you two entries in to the draw.
I will draw the winner using a random number generator on Monday 9th June.
Good luck and thank you for joining in xx
